Exotic Pet Care

Exotic Pet Care at Emory Animal Hospital

It’s not always easy to find a caring veterinarian who will see your exotic pet. Here at Emory Animal Hospital, we are happy to treat your rabbit, bird, reptile, or pocket pet. Pocket pets are small mammals including mice, rats, hamsters, ferrets, sugar gliders, chinchillas, guinea pigs, and others. When you bring your exotic pet to us, please bring them in a suitable carrier for their own safety during transport and while in our lobby. The following are services we can provide for your exotic pet.

Rabbits

Trailing only dogs and cats, rabbits are the third most common pet we treat. Emory Animal Hospital is one of very few animal hospitals in the greater Knoxville area to perform spay/neuter, as well as other medically necessary surgery on rabbits. We have served clients from as far away as Chattanooga for rabbit surgeries. In addition to surgical procedures, we provide rabbit wellness exams, diagnosis and treatment of illness or injury, nail trimming, sanitary clipping, tooth filing/trimming under sedation, and consultations on proper nutrition and care for your rabbit.
